Itinerary for a four night stay with La Jolie Ronde in the Etaples area, France.

Day 1  - Ambleteuse :  Depart your school by coach for Folkestone. Embarkation on the Eurotunnel and Channel crossing. Disembarkation in Coquelles. Transfer by coach to Nausicaa in Boulogne to meet the ELS leader and picnic by the gardens (not included in price). Depart Boulogne for Ambleteuse. Visit the museum of Ambleteuse. Transfer by coach to your residential centre in Merlimont. Room allocation and full-board accommodation in multi-bed rooms.

Day 2 - School visit and a local farm : Morning : Depart by coach for the local school in Etaples to visit the French children : La Jolie Ronde educational activities. After the visit, ball games on the beach. Return by coach to the residential centre for lunch. Afternoon : depart by coach to discover the farm: poultry, cattle and farming activities. A “goûter” will be served with products from the farm. Return by coach to the centre for dinner with a stop for games on the beach.

Day 3 - Local market and Musée de l'abeille : Morning : Depart your residential centre by coach after breakfast for Berck for shopping at the local market with questionnaires . Then, depart for “le Succès Berckois”: In this traditional sweet shop you will see how sugar is poured onto a stab then cut up with confectioner’s scissors. At the end of the visit each children receives a warm lollipop to give it a personal shape. Return for lunch to the centre. In the afternoon, depart for a visit to the “Musée de l’Abeille d’Opale” to discover everything about bees and honey with a pot of honey for each child at the end of the visit. Return by coach to the center for dinner at “Les Argousiers” with a stop on the beach.

Day 4 - french shool and shopping in local supermarket : Morning : After breakfast depart the residential centre by coach for the French school to work a second time in partnership with the French children : La Jolie Ronde educational activities. Then discover Etaples and the marina thanks to a town trail. Return to the centre for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for Nausicaà, in Boulogne, the National Centre of Aquatic Life. Visit the centre, with close-up views of the sharks and the sea lions. Depart Nausicaà by coach for shopping in the local supermarket with language exercises. Return by coach to the center for dinner.

Day 5 - Visit English Cemetery and lemonade factory : Morning : After breakfast, depart the centre by coach to visit the English Cemetery of the First World War by Etaples. Then, depart by coach to visit the last traditional lemonade factory. Free tasting and a bottle of lemonade for each child at the end of the visit. Picnic lunch and depart by coach to visit the bakery to see bread and cakes being made in a traditional French way. Make your own “croissant” and leave with a “baguette” and “un croissant” for each child at the end of the visit. Depart for Coquelles. Embarkation on board the Eurotunnel and Channel crossing. Arrival in Folkestone and direct transfer to your home town.
